A study says that half of men do not understand well the intimate parts or sexual organs in women. In a study in which men were asked to put up a label on female intimate organs. They are asked to show men in the provided picture of where the vagina, vulva, cervix, ovaries and so on.

The result is 50 percent of them fail to identify the organs.

Reported by the Daily Mail, these findings are published with the aim of raising awareness of how few of us know about gynecological cancer. A common misconception is that men feel there is no need to understand about female organs and possible problems.

For many men, women's bodies are still seen as taboo. They tend to be uncomfortable discussing gynecological issues with their partners.

But the real problem is not just about it. One in five women according to the study, did not visit a doctor when there was an unusual vaginal bleeding. Though bleeding is one of the main symptoms of some cancers that attack women such as cervical cancer, ovaries, cervix, vagina and vulva.

"The results of this survey show a low level of awareness about the symptoms of gynecologic cancer among men and women," said Athena Lamnisos, chief executive of Eve Appeal, one of the charities and cancer care groups that overshadowed the study.

According to Lamnios, men can play an important role to always maintain their partner's health. When they understand the problem of female health then it will greatly help the women and they are able to invite them to consult with the doctor more quickly. It can foster hope that many lives will be helped by faster handling.

This is important because a poll found that 50 percent of women did not seek help or were reluctant to consult a doctor when they found a lump in their vagina.

"It's not about having sex better. It's about men who help women take care of their health, "said Lamnisos.
